VITRIFICATION PROCESS
What is vitrification for IVF?
Vitrification is a cutting-edge process for cryopreserving embryos, with high survival rates (up to 92%), due to low risks of damages to the cells from ice crystal formation. It is a very safe and simple process and can be take place in any Assisted Reproduction clinic by appropriately trained personnel.
Vitrification has revolutionized Cryobiology, since many studies have shown survival rates of vitrified embryos to be far higher than survival rates of slow freeze embryos.
The thawing/warming process of selected vitrified blastocysts is simple and fast, and all one needs is to use the thaw kit and strictly follow the protocol. If necessary, our biologists can travel to partner centers to carry out the thawing of the frozen eggs.
